Project Overview

The goal of the planning stage is to establish the project's feasibility. Feasibility is studied from both an engineering and environmental perspective. Both studies are conducted simultaneously and are performed in a collaborative manner. The engineering and the environmental analyses should conclude that the project is feasible to advance to the design stage.

Developed in conjunction with the engineering studies, the environmental studies evaluate the study area and the proposed alignment alternatives. A detailed description of the environmental studies are also available.

 

Our Valley Freeway System is part of the 2004 voter-approved Regional Transportation Plan. We are working hard with our transit partners to implement the voters’ vision and are committed to quality, safety, open communication with our neighbors, and minimal inconvenience to the traveling public.
