The Arizona Department of Transportation began a project in March 2011 to repave a 16 mile segment of US 60 six miles southeast of Wickenburg to Wittman. The project includes removal of a layer of the existing pavement and applying a new layer of smooth, quiet rubberized asphalt. The final phase of the project will begin in May 2012 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of June 2012.
Additional project enhancements will include:
- New pavement
- Replacement of guardrails
- Resurfaced bridge decks
The paving is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
